04 Stratus 2.7L: Vibration on Acceleration 45mph+
Hi guys, I have a 2004 Dodge Stratus SXT sedan. 2.7L V6 with 115,000 miles.
I get a noticeable vibration starting at about 45mph when I accelerate. If I let my foot off the gas it goes away. It varies in intensity - sometimes you can just feel it in the pedal, sometimes it shakes the whole car to point where stuff sitting on the seats will clatter.
My garage looked at the CV joints and at least didn't see any visible damage to them. They had trouble reproducing the vibration. I've had the tires rebalanced and rotated and that didn't make any difference.
Not sure if it is worth anything, but I do have warped rotors that you can feel during high-speed braking. This car seems to eat rotors so I'd been trying to hold off on replacing them until they got worse.
Thanks for any ideas.
