Recently my Stratus has been "hiccuping" when taking off and twice had problems actually starting. I went and got my car read and got a po304. There seemed to be a oil leak in the cam so I replaced the lining and spark plugs and it seemed to work perfectly and the engine light even went off. Then the day after doing 75 on the highway my car hiccuped once and the speed started dropping, so I pulled over and turned my car on and off. So irretaiting, and te timing belt was resently replaced too. Any ideas of what it could be and how to fix it? :/

 

I had the same problem on my 01 Stratus w/ 2.4L DOHC. I replaced the ignition coil and life was good again.

Before replacing the coil, swap #3 and #4 plug wires at the plugs and coil. Check if the error code goes to P0303. If it still is P0304, put a new coil in.
