Default Oil

4 days ago i filled my oil tank in my stratus. today it was completely empty, so i had to refill it. im not much for auto mechanics, so i plan on going to college for that. i know an oil leak is never a good thing. any ideas on what could be causing the leak? the leak is covering my right side undercarriage

Loosing that much oil that fast is a Huge warning sign.
Take it to a professional garage ASAP.
Not good.

Check to see if the oil filter is seated properly. The oil pressure sending unit could also be blown. If there are external oil lines one could be busted. Does your oil pressure light work?

the light comes on when the oil is at roughly 1/8 of its capacity. i got under and there is oil all over the undercarriage on the passenger side under the front and rear passenger doors. i don't believe the oil lines are busted I'm thinking it has to be a filter. the car has almost 141k on it if that helps.

Try to tighten the oil filter. If it is loosened U will loose oil all the time.
It may be that simple.
Wipe if off and tighten. Hand tighten but firmly seat it.
