02 stratus hesitation

02 stratus hesitates when u gas on it,stumbles,idles rough but no check engine light.also hard start sometimes...any ideas where to start?can no one help with this?

Check your compression. It could be a burnt valve. Listen to exhaust at idle. If it sounds abnormal, like a popping noise, it could be an exhaust valve. If ok it could be an intake valve.
