Tranny in limp mode (3rd only) - P0763/P0753
My girlfriend has a 02' Dodge Stratus R/T coupe with about 110k miles. She told me it felt gutless and I drove it last night. I noticed it wasn't shifting. Stuck in 3rd gear so until you are going about 40mph it is gutless and the 3.0L use to be kinda peppy for a V6.
Codes came back P0763 and P0753 shift solenoids
I've read in some other threads that it could be PCM related. Any truth to that?
I found a thread on replacing the tranmission solenoid but wanted to confirm what exactly is causing the two codes.

Before I can order any parts I need to know what the transmission code is for this tranny. Can someone fill me in on that?
Any help would be appriciated. I guess I really need to get my hands on the diagnostic procedures for troubleshooting the codes. Surely it can be ohm'd out with my fluke to figure out what exactly failed.
P.S. I think this is the first dodge forum I've come across that has lots of useful info and not random crap lol.
Thanks! From the new memeber

Thanks for the info ^^
I found a really cool guy on my local racing forum that is a chrysler tech and has access to the ST22 super card and scanner. Going to pull those codes and report back tomorrow.
I found the scanner alone for sale on ebay for $2-3,000....

31 Low-reverse solenoid valve system Short circuit/open circuit
33 Second solenoid valve system Short circuit/open circuit
Those are the codes that we got when using the scanner. My buddy tried to fire the solenoids and they weren't responding.
