2005 Dodge Stratus Stalling, Need Help!!!
Hey all, I have a 2005 Stratus with 95,000 miles on it. I bought it used back in 2008, so there's no dealer warranty. The car has run beautifully for me until last year at Christmas, the fuel pump went out and had to be replaced. Now I'm starting to have some problems with it again. According to my fiance, who is the only one driving it, the car runs fine over 45 mph, but as soon as she slows under the 45 mark, especially when coming to a stop, the car will stall and shake horribly. When she starts it up, it doesn't want to accelerate, no matter how hard she presses the gas pedal. She recently took it to Monroe Muffler, and they charged her 430.00$ to replace the air filter, oil change, and spark plugs, as well as a fuel system flush; none of which did anything to help. The check engine light is also on and flashing; according to Monroe Muffler, the code reads back as multiple misfire. I'm deployed overseas, so there's no way that I can even take a look at the car, but if anyone could shed some light on this mystery so that we know what to do, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance,
Jayson Douville
