Ok, I am regretting ever buying this car. We got the car cheap because of it knocking. Of course it is the 2.7l. We put new crank shaft with rod bearings and mains in it, put it back in, it started but was running like crap then broke a rod. So take it back out, pull it apart, put new ones in it, put it back in and it just cranked and cranked and wouldn't start. I am guessing Dad got the timing off, because then it started cranking like it had no compression, so I assumed it bent the valves. I then found a 2.7l out of an 03 Dodge Intrepid that was running fine but they wrecked the car. We bought it, changed the oil pan, valve covers, (they cracked one taking it out), put it in the car and now it will not start. It cranks over and over and won't start. We used a tester and we are getting spark, fuel pump is kicking on, there is power to the injectors. The crankshaft sensor is plugged in and so is the camshaft sensor. I am honestly fed up with this car, but have too much in it not to get it running. Can anyone give me some ideas??? Thanks in advance.
