Default 2000 stratus no hot air barely warm

i have a 2000 stratus and i am having heat problems... here is whats happening and been happening.. first off the blower motor will only run on the highest setting, i am assuming this is probably the re3sistor needs replaced?
secondly my position settings are off.. they are all correct except for the floor only setting,,, the floor setting is a mixture of air to the floor and the defrost at same time..
and third the air is only warm to cool ... it is not hot enough to heat the car when it is below 25 degrees or so.. and if i turn it to the defrost selection it is cold! no heat what so ever.. but once i turn it back off defrost it gets a lil warm again.. it is hotter if i am sitting still,, once moving it is like it has the outside air cooling it way off.. i have replced the radiator cap and the thermostat... didnt help. i replced the cap because the system was nopt holding any pressure what so ever thought i fixed it because it is now holding pressure in the coolant system but still no hot heat.
i also noticed this..
when i open the glove box there is a ton of suction from there,, it is actually pulling papers and stuff i hjave in the toward the back of the glove box? very weird..
any ideas what to do here? ohhh and by the way i took the radio out and the hot to cold air damper is working great opening and closing all the way.

A vacuum leak will effect the heat/air actuators. Find the leak. It could be a leaky actuator.

Default no heat

I have had the same problem for last 3 years, but I am in Florida so its not a big deal.

I also have changed the cap and thermostat with change. Blend door is working because when I change from hot to cold the luke warm air turns to real cold.

I dont believe there are any pinched lines.

Is there a vacuum hose on the blend door? I thought it was all electrical.

2000 stratus.

Have you ck the temp door cable adjustment, if you have a cable setup.
TEMPERATURE DOOR CABLE
The blend-air (temperature) door is actuated by a cable which mechanically positions the temperature door.

The temperature door actuator is located at the center of the A/C Heater housing at the center tunnel.

REMOVAL
Place the ignition key in the OFF position before removing control module.
Remove trim bezel Trim Bezel
Remove cluster hood bezel retaining screws in the trim bezel opening Control Module Screws
Pry up the cluster hood bezel a few inches to expose the cubby bin/cigar lighter bezel screws.
Remove the cubby bin/cigar lighter bezel and wiring.
Remove the control module retaining screws.
Remove control module and disconnect the wire connectors.
Release the temperature control cable retaining clip from the top of the control module. Retain the clip for future use. Then disconnect the temperature control cable.
Disconnect cable at A/C housing Temperature Cable At A/C Housing
Remove cable core end from temperature actuator lever.

Well, my heat did not work due to a bad heater core. Are you sure it isn't that?

Welcome to DF
You should have heat, but if it quits after the t-stat opens. I would ck all my hose's on hot they are getting. You may have a problem with the radiator or the new t-stat.

Hey smokes i'd take the rad cap off and see if your circulating , sounds like a weak water pump.. I got big issues now replaced everthing and tested all componets and now i can't get the system to build pressure ... good luck!!!
