Default Re-Wiring the Headlight Flashes Upon Keyless Lock/Unlock

Hello All..

I am looking to and need help with re-wiring the headlight flashes upon keyless lock/unlock of my vehicle. I have HID bulbs and have already blown out a few due to this I believe. So recently I have just been unlocking my car with the key and locking it with the door button.

I have an 04 Dodge Stratus SXT and need to disable the flashing of the headlights and possibly re-route it to the blinkers. I might even go a step further and include the tail blinkers in when I figure out what I'm doing. So that way the front AND back blinkers will flicker when locking and unlocking the car in keyless mode.

Any and All help is greatly appreciated.

You should be able to have the dealer change the behavior of the lock flashers with their advanced scan tool.

Ah that's good to know.. I gotta call the dealer sometime soon then, do you know about how much I'd be looking at for something like that? Also is there anything else I can get tweaked out in the same visit?

I was looking into getting my own scan tool anyway, is there one that's released to the public that's capable of doing that?

So I called the local Dodge Dealer to get a pricing for this.. They told me it would take approximately 2 hours of labor and cost around $200 Ow..

Just to hit a few buttons on a scan tool??.. Am I being mislead or taken advantage of?
