Hello, I am new to forum and owning a 1997 Stratus. Noticed a heavy puddle of transmission fluid under engine...when running fluid pours out. At first I thought it was coming out of the lowest spot where the dust shield attaches to the transmission, however, I am wondering if it is leaking above and toward the firewall; then flowing down. Are there cooling fluid lines which attach to the transmission in that area? Any thoughts? Thanks

 

Get some transmission dye. Hit suspect area with a black light. Leak will glow fuchia.
