05 and $4700, not a bad deal. You be ok with the 2.4l, Like mentioned, 2.7l V6 wise, avoid it even if it is free.
Common problem are merely Rear Ball joints and Resonator/exhaust crack.
It will be a decent Grocery getter car, just don't expect anything beyond that.

I know this, thats why I asked the OP which engine it had. 22DODGE22 was generalizing the name "Stratus".

We still dont know what car the OP is looking at. The Stratus Coupe has a terrible resale value, but they arent troublesome like it appears the Sedans might be.

2.7 is a good motor as long as it's maitenance is kept up. I've put 65k hard miles on mine since I bought it and it has been perfectly reliable.
The 2.4 either version is a gutless wonder. They do seem to be quite reliable though.
