Default 20 Inches on my 95

Hey all, Wondering if i could squeeze 20" wheels on my 95 Stratus without any major modification. Im sure im gonna have to roll the fender and all that... And if not, what is the largest wheel i can fit without too much modification. Thanks

20's look way too big on a stratus, it can be done with very little work, but you can't lower it and the car will gain like 4" of ground clearance and look stupid IMO. I would say 19's top's but lowered on 18's fill the wheel well really good.

I'm looking into the same thing with my 98 cirrus, from everyone I've talked to they say that an 18 is the biggest they suggest.
because not only your fenders but you also have to worry about turning and stopping.

Plus with a 20 you'll have to run a 30 or 35 series tire and if you hit any bump "even curbs" you run the chance to bend your rim.

but if your just wanting to squeeze 20's on it I'm sure they will fit.

I would say the largest you can afford to go is 18's with no modifications. Anything larger is going to require suspension/undercarriage modifications. Not to mention it will seriously screw with your MPG and the way the car rides/handles. 20 In rims shouldnt be put on a FWD car, but yet people still do it. Honestly, you could go with an 18in, and still be able to lower it. I'm running on factory 17in wheels, yet mine is about a 2/4 in drop on my car.

I run 215/35/18s and I've never dented a rim, I have hopped on them too. Dents mostly accurs from not enough air in the tire 30 and 35s run really high PSI. I lay on the ground with 18's in a 97 and ppl always mistake my rims for 20's, rims look alot bigger the lower you go.

i would agree that 18's is as big as you would want to go and still look good in poportion.

18 x 6, its the biggest I would go. And it is the biggest you should go. For an ultimate G-Ride I am sure that you want to go with the 20's. But I have seen 20's on my car and even though the rims look hella nice. You would want to worry about denting rims. And that could get costly. So as I said before. Go with the 18 x 6. And you wont have to do anything other then get a new set of low pro tires. And you wont have to worry bout denting.

I live in the midwest and constantly see cars with 22's-24's on them. Not only does it look entirely freaking stupid......I dont even see how they can make a right or left hand turn. If this was a show car....then yes 20's would look great on it.....but i am guessing this is an everyday driver.....I'm running 17's with low pro Toyo Proxes 4 on my car.....and its lowered.... I would rather spend 2000 on a set of 17" rims and tires i wanted then spend 2500 on a set of rims I just liked......especially when i could spent the extra money on something else!
