Default 03 Airbag wiring question

Alright, So I'm in the middle of replacing my steering wheel on my 03 stratus se. The steering wheel I pulled from a salvage yard was from a 99 but only difference is the airbag connector on the 99 has only one plug and my 03 has two. And the way the two airbags mount to the wheel are different too.

There has to be some kind of way to make an airbag deploy with just one connector instead of two. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about these sytems and if I can just bypass the other connector. I'll deffinatly get a voltmeter in there and see if I'm getting anything out of one connector because I don't want this swap blowing up in my face...literally haha. If worst comes to worse I'll cut both ends off the plugs and solder a resistor in there so the airbag light goes out, I rather have that gone than the airbag actually working haha.

After reading somemore, the two connectors are for a dual stage airbag. Anyways I'm just going to swap out the inflators and keep the airbag itself, so everything will check out fine.
