Default 98 dodge stratus sputtering!

I was wondering if anybody could help me out? I just bought a 98 dodge stratus 6cyl. When I punch on the gas really fast it will sputter and will not go! If I press on the accelerator slowly if will go just fine! Is there anything I could replace or do to make it run better?

Thanks,
Jesse James.

Welcome to DF
Check for stored codes, if none. Try cleanning the throttle body.

Default 98 dodge stratus sputtering!

Last weekend i took it in to get it diagnosed. One of the bolts broke off on the intake manifold and it needed to be replaced, and need a new gasket. Air maybe coming in threw the hole? Also to replace spark plus, and replace throttle body sensor and it should be good! I replaced all that myself because they wanted $600 to do it. I also cleaned out throttle body, and it is still bogging & when I excellerate. Any suggestions?

Could be EGR valve or an o2 sensor. But these are only guess without seeing the car.

I replaced the EGR valve checked the fuel pressure, cleaned the throttle body replaced throttle body sensor, checked the wires coil for spark. I did a compression test on all 6 and they came out pretty even I came up with 35-40psi on all six the engine was semi warm, and then I put some oil in and came up with 50-55psi. So when I push the gas peddle too fast it still bogs and does not excellerate. I am running out of ideas with no codes! I am starting to think the timing is off but not sure how to check? Any suggestions?
