Is this possible?
Hello all. I'm needing a direct answer from someone that knows. Is it possible for the mini-buss 15amp fuse labeled ECM(under the hood) to pop and the engine stop while driving down the road? 1999 Dodge Stratus 2.4L

I had a relay(larger than the mini-buss fuses) that was getting really hot(fuse compartment under the hood), leading up to replacing the starter that was blowing the small mini-buss 20amp fuse(the yellow ones).
Could it have been stressing the larger fuse relay that would cause fuel injection problems and sporadic vehicle shut off during operation while driving? The original 20amp mini-buss fuse in question was labeled for IGN/FUEL, which was popping with the bad starter. I replaced the starter and someone else that is driving the vehicle began experiencing this problem.
I had never experienced this before and can't re-simulate it happening at will, a mechanic shop couldn't diagnose exactly but replaced the relay in question FWIW.

I must apologize, as this thread was initially made during a time of desperation/stressing out.
Further investigation has revealed a grounding issue with the EGR system(ever so slight/becoming flaky), that could have caused this to happen. Causing a situation that allowed for emergency engine cutoff. I forget the technical term. Thus, perhaps this allowed the PCM fuse in question to pop and the relay that was replaced(to overheat).
