Anyone know where to find the bars that hold the trunk open on a 02 Stratus R/T coupe? thanks

No problem. You were talking about the torsion bars right? With the bends and stuff that support the trunk to be open I assumed. They arent too bad to put in. I had one snap on me one day, I browsed forums and the net and couldnt find anything, so I bit the bullet and went to the dealer. Much cheaper than I expected.

 

Cool thanks... looks like its off to the junk yard... the left side torsion bar(the one I need) is discontinued.... and noone has them...arghhhh

 

not having any luck in the junk yards... anyone know if there is another vehicle with the same torsion bars? I know the Avengers is some what close .. but it won't work... Maybe a Mitsubishi??? Thanks Rick

 

try chryslerpartscenter.com they're showing they have one for $20.70 plus 11.25 shipping search year,coupe,trunk lid,then lid and components

 

Have you tried car-part.com? Its a junkyard search for your area. Even though they wont list that part specifically, you will be able to track down a few coupes. I cant imagine that part is in high demand. Chances are its not even in the local junkyards system and you will get it for next to nothing.

 

Thanks guys.... I did carparts.com... but will do them again... waiting on chryslerparts to get back to me.... it was funny when I went to one yard a seen my old Avenger in there that the stepson totaled

 

Well The Chryslerparts.com place says that Dodge has 3 left in inventory, while my local dealer says there are no more... will see I guess... ordered it... thaks again for your help... later Rick
