1997 stratus es transmission conversion?

Anything can be done. The V6 model is a Mitsubishi 6g73 motor mated to a 41te transmission. I think the 2.0 5speed (pretty sure the 2.4 didn't come in a manual) mounted differently. I don't think the mounts from the 6g72 (3.0l on 2g strats) are any different. Worth looking into that direction. You at best are looking at changing transmission mounts. Worst is a lot of custom fabrication, which can mean a LOT of $$ spent.
Whatever you are doing, post back with pics and steps, to help further things along for others that would like to try, but need more guidance.
I for one would not mind converting over to a manual, but spending thousands to do it, on a car that's only worth at best, 800$, I would look for a car that is already a manual and put the $$ towards that.
