Pat- Just out of curiosity, what kind of h/u does your buddy have? Ive never had any trouble with mine. As for the installation, mine only took about 20 mins. Matching wire colors basically.

Devel'sReject- What kind of mic was that 154.3 on? I have considered dynomatting, and probably will, im just too lazy at the moment. Like your car btw, i think it looks good white.

its a sony hu...it was poorly installed, and when it kept shutting off, i took the dash apart to look into it, it is a wiring NIGHTMARE. bare wires hanging everywhere...different colored wires spliced into each other...

Alpine25: I had a 96 Mercury Tracer 4dr. It had an Eclipse deck with Bose speakers in the doors and dash. It had 2 Rockford Fosgate 8" subs in the rear deck instead of 6x9's. It had two Stroker 12's and was running on 4 Soundstream 1000w amps. It had a seperate battery connection in the trunk and the entire rear of the car was dynomatted. It actually cracked the two rear door windows as well. I was too late to a sound comp in Ft. Wayne, IN and the guy who won had a crappy system. I asked the guy running the comp to let me try mine out just for the hell of it and he said sure. Needless to say, I woulda beat him. It was a helluva lot of fun, specially when the guy saw my windshield go out. The guy who set this system up for me took a month to set it all up. It cost me right around 2500 dollars all said an done. I was 18 with a lot of money to blow. Kids!!!
