I have a 2000 Dodge Stratus and something seems to be wrong with the gas gauge. It always shows up on empty- even when I fill up the tank. Every now and then when I'm driving it will go back up, but will quickly go back down to empty again. It's very annoying and I need some suggestions on how to fix it. it sounds like the sending unit has gone bad.

i believe that it may be part of the pump, but either way, i think it is in the gas tank...i am not as familiar with the 1st gen clouds...a parts dept could definately tell you.
