Hi,

I have 97 Stratus 2.4L DOHC Engine. I'm wondering that Engine oil light is not comes on during first start & engine running for 10 minutes. When I turned off the engine & starting it again the light comes on & off by itself like other lights. Is this normal for Engine light? I know engine comes from cold but is this should be happened on the first start?

Okay the oil light doesn't come when you do the bulb check in the morning. But it does a bulb ck find the rest of the day. You can try to replace the oil pressure switch to see if that helps. Yes it could be the cold weather doing this too. Does light come on while you are driving?

 

No. It's not coming out when driving. Only when the engine runs for 10 mintes or more & shut the engine off & start it again. Engine lights comes out & gone immediately as other lights. That's what I thought its cool engine. But want to make sure if this right thing. Where is the oil pressure switch of this kind of car. It's 97 Stratus 2.4L DOHC.
