Timing Belt Broke - Rough Idling
Hello,
I have a 2002 Dodge Stratus 2.4L DOHC. Last week sitting in the parking lot of Walmart my car shut of and wouldn't start. I had it towed to a shop. As I suspected the timing belt broke, so the repairman checked his "book" or whatever and determined that the engine was NOT an interference engine. He replaced the timing belt and water pump. The car starts up fine now, but there is some roughness to the idling. Today at 2 different stop lights the engine actually shut off, but started right back up fine.
Anyhow, I need advice. Does anyone know what the problem could be? Could there be damage to the engine? Any help on what I should do next would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

When I got home from work today. I sat in my driveway for a few minutes and let it run. I shut it off for a minute and started it again and popped the hood to look around. When I got back in to shut it off the Check Engine Light was on. I did the off/on three times trick to display the codes and I got P0172. My repair manual says "System Adaptive Fuel too Rich(Bank 1)". Maybe that will help someone diagnose my problem.
