Default Help!

Hey ya'll I'm new here and I joined because I'm having quite a bit of bad luck lately. Most are with my 2004 Dodge Stratus. I wrecked into a ditch ruining the bumper on the driver's side. Well I noticed a noise today and when I checked the oil it was bone dry. I added 5 qts and looked for a leak, nothing. I started the car waiting a min the noise didn't subside. The noise is rather loud and sounds like ticking.. when I looked under I noticed a steady stream of oil coming out on the passenger side. It was almost right behind the tire. Is that where my oil pan is? Did I crack my motor, I'm lost..

any advice would be much appreciated

welcome to site ,sorry about your luck, oil behind right tire most likely would be your oil pan,oil filter or oil plug leaking, would be hard to say about engine being ruined without hearing noise

The sad problem is that once an engine starts knocking from oil starvation the bearing get scored. Correcting the leak is usually too late to save the engine.

Thanks guys, yeah come to find out there was some oil on and around the oil filter. Bummer, so the engine was blown. Luckily I bought it from J.D. Byrider and they are fixing it since it's still under warranty

Walmart changed my oil and left me hangin. I feel like I should get some money outta this haha

Lesson here is...Don't go to Walmart for an oil change.
