I wanted to post this because I read a lot of posts on this subject and wanted to give my input on the subject.

I was driving my car the other day and bam...engine started cutting out and cel light came on. The car wouldnt rev over 2300 rpm. I got her home and plugged in the scanner. Code p0344 intermittant cam shaft sensor circuit. The car ran fine if under 2300 rpm which was fine at moderate cruise speed just dont be in a hurry to accelerate. When cold the car ran fine. As soon as it gets to opperating temp, cel comes on and rev limits to 2300. I bought a cam sensor but still no luck...same thing. I checked all wiring and grounds..all seemed fine. I found another forum where someone suggested replacing the cam target magnet under the cam sensor. I took mine off and inspected it. It looked fine but for about 12 dollars I figured what the hell, it was better than trying crank sensors or ecms like I read others had tried and didnt fix it. I bought one and slapped her in. Horray...runs like a champ. 12 bucks and about 15 minutes work and I am back in business. I guess the magnet breaks down due to heat over time. Definately worth trying first...
