2.5 overheated no start stuck on highway
2000 Dodge stratus overheated headed to work this morning, I pulled to the side with engine still running well and turned her off. Hours later returned to check water levels and oil both are fine. However, I can't get the car to start.
Is it possible some wiring got damp and some kill switch was turned on? People are telling me to leave it on the side of the highway, but don't know if its to that point yet.
All very replies welcome.

The car turns over well, but will not start.
I had the car towed home, battery is good, tank is full (although I will check pressure and compression saturday) I did however fine that the car has no spark and will go from there. I plan on checking for codes tommorrow.
I must admit I've never worked on cars just older trucks, maybe I'll be able to figure this out with some help.
Thanks.
