welllll i have a problem.. i have no clue what it is.. but its 2 things that worry me.
1. the rpms (on my 2001 stratus rt 'coupe') jump a little. like from 400rpms to 600 and back to that. but usually stops and idles fine.
is it a clogged fuel line or something?

&

2. When shifting from P-R-N-D, and then as it shifts in gear it jumps. almost as if it stutters. rarely happens. but its like it has a mind of its own. oh well. the only thing wrong with my close to 11 year old car :P its FLAWLESS.

From that description it could be a million different things...clogged injectors or fuel filter, dirty air filter, carbonized EGR valve or PCV valve, coil pack or plug or wire intermittently giving a weak spark...sounds exactly like how mine acted with the timing belt a couple teeth off. If everything is original, I'd say change the filters and plugs and run a good injector cleaner like Lucas with a tank of premium fuel and pull off the EGR and PCV valve and try to clean them up...see where that gets ya

Cool

omg lol thanks for the info.
to wrap up what i know.
i did use the lucas fuel inector cleaner.
and it stopped for a while.. now that i think of it!
and so its pretty normal now. just a little jump. not subtle though.
i'll replace the spark plugs and have someone tidy up the
timing belt. b/c i have no clue how to.
if that doesnt fix it, then its not that much of a problem. so i'd leave it.

& the tranny problem...
is that a bad tranny mount? because it does vibrate at times not bad but i feel it.
but the bad tranny mount sounds most like thats whats wrong. it just seems like the best logical idea.??

Yeah, the jump when shifting could be tranny mount, but mine jumped like that just from bad timing...I had a 94 Intrepid that made a huge clunk if in reverese and the gas was hit slightly, basically the whole tranny would roll up and thump back down. But you may not necessarily feel anything like that cuz Intrepids had the motor put in the CORRECT way, though they still had the wrong two wheels driving...

Anyway, I'd focus on the running issue first
