Dodge Stratus Aftermarket Muffler
I have a sedan sxt model (V6 2.7L), and I was looking into getting an aftermarket muffler. Simply because I wanted it to look nice, not for performance. I ordered a Mugen Style Twin Loop Muffler 3" and when I got it I was quite shocked that the tip was actually 4" across, I'm debating now whether or not to put it on. I've read twin loops are not as loud, I do not want a really loud exhaust, but would mind if it spat a little noise when I reved it up. Should I go ahead with the install and just see if I like it? I measured the lip on my bumper to be about 5" so it may look nice. Thoughts/comments? Much appreciated!!!
Loud shouldn't be an issue, seeings I have custom headers, full 2.5" exhaust and just a resonator. My car is very mellow at cruising speeds and around town, its only loud at WOT.
So it really comes down to do you think you'll like how it looks.

Yeah it was just a little to big for my taste. I'm fighting with the company now and getting boned hard on the return....but I decided I'll prolly go with a magnaflow muffler 2.25" in/out (same as stock) and then a tip that goes from 2.25" to about 3". So it should look nice I believe.
I just deleted my muffler when I 1st bought my car, ran pipe and a nice tip. It looked and sounded good and was very cheap.
I have a Magnaflow on my other car, I have been very unhappy with it. A lot of $ for it to sound like rice. My suggestion.......
Get rid of your muffler and run straight out with a tip. Deep growl, cheap, and you can get whatever look you want.

Check your cats. Mine were bad at 45k. That's how I ended up with headers.
