I have a 2001 Stratus 3.0L. Im looking for the thermostat housing. I was told it is on the upper radiator hose. I found what looks to be the housing but when i took it apart there was nothing in it! I must be looking in the wrong place. Could some one please tell me the exact location please?

 

It is in the lower hose on the engine block.
