98 no start
I have a 98 dodge stratus 2.4L DOHC that will not start. It will crank. I was driving down the highway at 65 when the car just shut down. The fuel line connected to the fuel rail popped. Repaired the fuel line but still wont start.
Here is a list of everything done.
Replaced fuel pump (not filter)
Knock sensor was broke replaced
Replaced crank shaft sensor
Its getting fire and fuel to every cylander
Tested all relays and fuses
Checked power to the injectors
Replaced old battery with a brand new one
I don't know what else to check at this point. If anybody has any idea I would really appreciate your input. Thanks

I had the same issue. I discovered that I had a blown fuse under the hood. My particular fuse was the PCM.ASD fuse (20 amp). If you are still having a problem check that? I am still having issues I believe I have a bare wire shorting out somewhere?
Hello,
This is my first post, so I hope I'm posting in the right place.
I've got a '98 Stratus 2.5 LX. The car somehow doesnt start despite attempts [after several attempts, the battery goes low and no crank sound comes out of the engine just spinning sound] once parked downward on a slope [front side down the slope]. When the serviman comes with a jumper cable, I am able to start it. Now wondering about two things,
1-Why was I not able to start it when it had the full batter. The only thing the serviceman did was to connect the jumper cable and recharge it and it started at first ignition, which is rare for this car.
2-I was told that the level of fuel is critical if this car is parked face down on a slope. If fuel is less than a quarter, then it will not start. Is this really true? [my practical experience says yes, but I wanna know if there's any other cause to this incident]
Thanks in advance,
Numan
