i went with a 1996 year. 8th digit in you vin number. also if you look under the hood there will be a catalyst sticker usaly on the hood or in front of the radiator. It should tell you a year engine size ect...

2.0 (c)
2.4 (x)
2.5 (h)

From 1995 to 1999 Sebring/Avenger coupe had Y=2.0L4-cyl DOHC and N=2.5LV6SOHC.
From 1996 to 1999 Sebring convertible had X=2.4L 4-cyl DOHC and H=2.5LV6SOHC.
So if you have it X you have same 2.4 L motor they used on Sebring convertible.
My Stratus has H,althought it is not Sebring conv,strange cause it is Dodge Stratus sedan......
Model year code is the 10th digit.
S=1995
T=1996
V=1997
W=1998
X=1999
Y=2000
1=2001
2=2002
