Greetings, I am trying to help a friend locate the shift cables for a 99 status with a 4cyl. He is thinking about buying the car, but the reverse cable is broke. I was hoping someone might know of somewhere besides the dealer to buy them. So far searches at salvage yards, Internet and part stores have came up with nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

 

my friend bought the car ,the cable was not broke as the mechanic had said. It had lost the bushing out of the eyelet. I was able to drive it home by rigging the eyelet with a washer and tie wrap. It is now working with a rubber bushing ,washer and a c-clip that we found in his shop.
