Recently my low beams have not been working. Anytime I turn the dial they do not click over from the daytime running setting. The high beams work just fine. However, if I leave the high beams on, and the dashboard/radio lighting on, and shut the car off, then turn the headlights off, the low beams all of a sudden turn on. Of course, when I got to turn the headlights back on they go off. Any idea what is causing this, or what the problem might be? I have a 2006 sxt 2.7L. I even tried replacing the bulbs that were in there...they were the standard sylvania OEM. I purchased Philips VisionPlus. High beams are great, can't really drive with just the DRL feature, can't see anything.

 

very possible you just got a bad Head Light switch. But this is just a guess.
