Default 98 Dodge Stratus Front Tow Strap/Hook for towing

Hi I have a 98 Dodge Status. I found out that the front tow strap/hook where you hook the car to tow it was bent badly (drivers side). While pulling in my driveway I hit it and it tore it off the car and the bolts that hold it in. Is there anything else that could have been damaged by this?

Depending on how you hit, it could have damaged any number of suspension components, the oil pan, the transmission pan, radiator, trans cooler (if equipped), power steering line, brake lines, abs sensors (if equipped). Pretty much anything under and in front of the engine "could" have been damaged.

That may sound like a scary list. If you were able to keep driving with no odd noises, or new puddles, that rules out a lot of possibilities of what could have been damaged in your case.

If you're worried about it, take it down to your mechanic to have a checkup done, or take some detailed pictures and post them up here (a site like photobucket is helpful), especially detailing areas that look a little too clean where they were scraped on the ground.

Same problem on mine, but it was bent years ago. I gotta ask, is there a way to get one out withou jacking up the car? I ask because all of the cars at the local junkyard have the wheels removed and have sunk and the ground. I can't fit a jack under them either.
