Hello i got a 2002 dodge stratus with the 2.7 motor this car was running great no dash light/check engine light i was driving one day and the car just die would not start it got over half tank gas the car crank but would not start i was going to check to see if it getting spark and fuel i know how to check for spark but dont know how to check to see if it getting fuel can someone tell me how to check this car to see if it getting fuel before i replace the fuel pump i am thinking it the fuel pump any help would be great thanks.

 

Spray some carb cleaner into the air intake see if it starts that way!

When you turn the key ON do you hear fuel pump run for 2 seconds? If you hear pump run for the 2 seconds do a fuel pressure test with a guage.

 

Ok I will try the carb cleaner and see . I do hear something run for a few second then stop but I am not sure if that the fuel pump I have a fuel pressure kit where do I find the fuel line to connect it to ?

 

Also when it did run it always take a few second before it start like I have to keep the key turn and hold it for about 3 to 6 second before it start sometime I have to try starting it for a second time but it alway started
