Default P0451 Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor/Range - Can't Find Part To Fix It

Hello, I would greatly appreciate any help I can get regarding this problem I'm having with my '01 Stratus RT Coupe 3.0.

The code popping up is P0451 Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor/Range. I cannot find any real information or answers on where to buy the part I need to replace it.

When I first got the car the check engine light went on about 40 miles from the dealership (that's a whole other story, lol) and they, of course, wouldn't do anything about it. I have to get my car smogged this month for registration. I've asked the local Dodge dealership where I live & they couldn't help me.

Today my mechanic jacked up the car & found the part attached to the gas tank. He says it's about 1 1/2 - 2 inches, square shaped with 3 wires coming out of it. He tried to read the part # but it wasn't easy considering its location & age.

He thinks it is: WD3226L3 or WO3226L3. Or it might start with a U, lol. I've tried all variations without any luck.

What I'm not understanding is why this is so hard to figure out. I've tried & tried to get a real answer about it but never seem to find one. I'm hoping someone here will have some valid information to help me stay out of trouble with the DMV & the law.

Thanks in advance! ~Laurie

UPDATE: I found the correct part & had it installed. Now I'm having problems passing the smog test due to the system not being ready. I drove it 50 miles before going to do the test & it still failed. Now I've driven it 100 miles & am off to try again. I cannot believe how frustrating this has been!

Here is the correct part # in case any of you out there find yourself in the same situation.

MD322973

This part is $241.46 from the dealer. It's a little plastic box with 3 connectors that probably cost them all of $2 to make. I bought mine for $124.00 from a reputable seller on ebay who has a lot of "new old stock" parts.
