Working on a co workers car that has a hard time starting he was told that it could be a crank position sensor. Hasnt replaced anything. I read the codes and only came up with the 601 code. The car will start after cranking 5-8 seconds and it stays on. He also explained that everyonce i awhile the car will stall and cranks but wont start. This leads me to believe it could be the crank sensor but what role does the 601 code take? Is it a bad pcm even tho the car starts despite a long crank? Are the coils bad or the asd relay? Already tried the fuel pump and starter relays but overlooked the asd which ill be looking at tomorrow. Any help and advice is appreciated

 

Btw it has a 2.7 v6 and it is a sedan
