I have been searching the web for hours just to find out what purpose 1 hose has on my 97 stratus. It's the 1 inch hose that goes into the engine block I'm guessing. I really don't know a lot about engines. I can usually find what i need to know on the internet but it's not going so well this time.

 

what kind of engine ,where on the block is the hose where does it go to? is it a hose or metal tube? try going to chryslerpartsdirect.com they have halfway decent diagrams might help

 

well its a fat rubber hose and it goes into the engine block...it's a 97 stratus with the 2.4....at the other end of the hose goes into what i believe is the manifold....im not really a car guy so i'm really not even sure if that's accurate....the three pipes that merge into one at the bottom of the engine is what the other end of the fat hose is running to
