Could be water pump and/or thermostat. I needed both replaced a couple of years ago on my 2000.

Default dodge stratus

i replaced thermostat, leaks behind lower timing belt cover.oil looks good no milky colored water so Im thinkin its a bad water pump.i poured blue seal in it but it helped a little but still leaks.the overflow jug gurgles really loud after car is heated up,would a bad water pump cause this. `

Default moe info please

Could be your water pump. What engine do you have? If it is your water pump, i have doubts about any type of sealant stopping your leak. If by some chance it would stop it, it would most assuredly be temporary. I just changed my timing belt ,water pump and tensioner in my 06 2.4L. It took about 10 hours and a couple specialty tools. Knowing what i know now i probably could have had it done in about 6.
