Default HELP!! Loss of RPM

My 2002 Stratus Coupe is causing me major headaches!! The engine "dies" as the RPMs drop unless I have the AC compressor on!! This sounds backwards to me. I did change out the compressor last year. Could this be the problem?

I assume the engine light hasnt come on? Could be a number of things; a bad battery ground, bad frame ground, broken vacuum lines, a sensor that got unplugged or is going bad. The battery wasnt unplugged recently was it?

Idle sensor/motor will cause issues when engine rpms drop.

The ECU has to 'relearn' after the battery is unplugged for some reason. It takes a few miles (estimate 50 or maybe more) to get back to normal. It will run like crap. Unless something didnt get plugged in, and then a code will show. Give it a few days and miles.
