Oil light comes on when RPM gauge reaches below 1,000. Any idea why? It didn't happen till I changed the oil a few days ago. I'm also getting a oil smell, but there's no leak, no loss of oil but the flex pipe needs to be replaced bad.

 

Check oil filter, oil pan bolt, and valve cover gasket. Could also be due to over filling. Ive never had that issue with mine.
