Default Trans range sensor

i have a customer with a 2004 dodge stratus r/t 3.0 v6 . code for transmission range sensor keeps coming up,confusing online as to where and how many sensors,it being a Mitsubishi really.where are sensors? in or outside transmission,and any suggestions as to diagnosis would be great,ty

Are you working at a shop? Don't have access to factory repair manuals?

dont work at shop any,just have a select customers that will only let me work on car,so i do it on the side now.also health prevents anything to major to repair.so, no i dont have access

Tearstone.com has factory service manuals for the Eclipse. Just make sure its the F4A51 youre looking at.
