Default Engine

My motor is a dohc 2.4l 4 cylinder 16valves is this engine a interference or non interference? My vin# says it's a non interference but the motor has been replace and I'm not sure please help

Please provide more information, such as, the vehicle year and model. Any identifying letters/numbers on the engine? We can't see it, so we have no way of knowing what engine it is. How do you know it was replaced? Who replaced it? They don't know what engine it is? As you can see, nothing really we can do with the limited amount of information you have provided.

It's a reconstructed 2006 dodge stratus on the side of the motor is stamped S73 4667086AG-D 36
when I bought the car from custom auto used cars the dealer told me that the original motor blew up and he replaced it and provied the motor with a reicie but I never saw it

The 2.4L DOHC is non-interference. The 2.4L SOHC is interference.

Thanks the reason I was asking is bc my timing belt broke while I was driving 25mph and I'm scared I bent a valve
