Quick Timing Check.....How?
This is for a 98 Stratus 2.5 V6.
I removed one of the upper timing covers and can see a timing mark on the cam sprocket closest to the front of the car. I then rotated the crank until the mark on the sprocket lined up with the mark on the valve cover.
The lower timing cover has 5 vertical marks on it that are difficult to see with the accessory belt in the way. I see there is a notch on the crank pulley but what is the notch supposed to line up with at TDC?
