Last week, what I think is the transaxle, starting 'thunking' when rolling to a stop. That's as best as I can describe it, it actually jerks the car forward if you brake too sharply. I checked the trans fluid, that was ok. Otherwise, no other indications of potential problems. Acceleration is fine, gear shifting seems normal. It's the downshifting at low speed 'thunks' and jerks the car forward. Quite un-nerving.

Can anyone offer advice on this one? Thanks in advance for your assistance.
