Default Need to adjust headlights/headlights too bright

Hi all,

Dodge Stratus 2002 here.

This is the first winter (when it's dark) I've had this car. I'm tired of people flipping their headlights on and off at me as if I had my brights on. I don't though. The past owner must of turned the headlights up or something. I heard you can do this. I was wondering how to turn it down.

Thanks for any input.

Is this the coupe or sedan? There is definitely an adjustment there under the hood somewhere. I haven’t looked at mine, but will after work today if you haven’t got an answer your looking for.

Properly adjusting your headlights.... wow, what a refreshing thought! I get tired of these idiot kids thinking that blinding the car coming at you at 60MHP is a cool thing...

I can't say for sure, but if the headlights are anything like my Neon there should be 2 long arms coming out of the headlight enclosure that allow you to change the direction of the beam. One controls the up/down, the other controls the left/right. You need only to loosen the arm like you would a screw and then you can move it around until the proper height adjustment is achieved.

Thanks a million. I'll give it a try.

For the 2nd post - it is a sedan. Thanks for the reply.
