The wifes 01 stratus has amiss or a shutter at abouit 45-50 mph.And the check eng. light just wont go away.Put new plugs in it,a new gas cap,checked all hoses that were easy to get to.Code says evap leak.Does this sound right?

gross? if it is gross, it is something in the vapor recovery system...

 

It is a gross leak.If its not raining tomorrow i will jack it up and check the hoses going to the gas tank.

 

when i worked for dodge, there was a certain part that was replaced all the time,....but at the moment, it is escaping me...

but "Gross leak" is the expensive kind...[:@]

 

I checked the hoses underneath all looked really good.So only one I havnt checked are above the gas tank.Hey Brad,have you thought of that part yet?

 

I had the same problem with my 2000 Stratus Gross evap leak. Turned out to be a bad fuel pump. Look and see if you can see a gas trail off the top of the fuel pump. Mine had actually burned a hole through the top of it. I posted pics of it about it a year ago if I can find the link I will post it.
