hey guys i have been absent for a while and forgot my username and password but i registered again and have a question for yall. How hard woud it be for me to swap my 1997 breeze 2.0L engine with a 5 spd trans. to a 2.4L turbo engine or the srt 4 neon or the Pt cruiser all the same right. how hard and how expensive has it been done before. The engine on this var is going out and i want to convert it to me project and sell my stang. Has this been done before??? thanks for all the answers

It's possible, expensive, but possible. Most of the mounts will be close, but you will have to create a couple of them.

As for the GT Cruiser and the SRT-4 Neon, the motors are relatively similar, although I believe the SRT-4 Neon has some better parts and what have you.

Your very best bet it is to find a SRT-4 Neon that's been junked due to an accident or such...and buy the motor/trans/computer & wiring. I've seen people get good deals on em that way. I'd probably try an buy the car outright if you could or have the cash for it.

Good luck. You may also want to ask in the SRT-4 Neon section for any information regarding the motor or a swap on the motor.
