Default Corrosion on Stratus R/T Sedan

The aluminum wheels are corroded under the clearcoat on my '02 Stratus Sedan R/T. Some of the corrosion/spider webs are almost 1 inch in diameter.

Has anybody else seen this and is it covered under warranty? Car has about 30k miles.

I gotta believe this is caused by the enormous amount of brake dust. I've never seen wheels get so dirty so quick. It is impossible to keep them clean.

Thanks, Mike

I think the SXT came with chromed steel wheels. At least the one I looked at had them.

My 04 R/T Stratus has the same problem...horrible amounts of brake dust...wishing I had the money to replace the wheels.
