I'm new to the world of front-wheel drive so excuse my ignorance on such a simple thing. Just purchased the 96 for cheap and it has what sounds like a rod bearing knock. So I go to pull the pan to check it out but there is a large brace from front to back supporting the motor mounts. Do I really need to remove the mounts/brace to get the oil pan off?
