R/T Muffler Suggestions
I own a 2001 Dodge Stratus R/T. I want to get an aftermarket muffler for it but i dont want anything to sound too racing like. i want it to sound loud and mean but not like a childs play toy. So if anyone has some suggestions on some mufflers i could look at for my r/t, please let me know.
Thanks

Suggestion: Keep the resonators and avoid straight thru mufflers. They tend to get raspy when you get on it. I removed both resonators and got a Flowmaster 40 muffler and it's only now starting to sound decent (after a few months). I just ordered a new resonator to put back on if I decide I can't live with the sound. Avoid the huge fart cannons too. I had a Borla on my last car and it sounded awesome. I might go back to them.
I have a 2 1/2 inch pipe from my cat back, no muffler, no tip. I kinda enjoy the rumble, it is a bit ricey when you get in the high rpm range, but it's loud as crap and people tend to turn, and ask what the hell is in that car. hehe.
And now I will be putting on my greddy sp2 muffler as I just got a ticket for noise and "faulty muffler". - stupid farmington hills police

Initially I removed both resonators and the stock muffler and just did a tip because it got such rave reviews. That was unbelievably annoying! I put the flowmaster on the following week. And I disagree, the Borla on the right car sounds frickin' sweet. I just have to find the right one.
I just had the Greddy SP2 cat back installed, I must say I am a bit dissapointed. However, I did enjoy the previous "loud as crap" race sounding exhaust of no muffler, no tip. Now it is pretty silent except over 4500 rpms, where it screams. It is very deep, and causes many heads to turn as it is large and shiney, when I get the lowering springs on I'll post a pic. If you are looking for a loud raceing sound this is not the exhaust for you. If you are looking for style and a very low quiet rumble at low rpms its worth a look.
