busted pc, new pc , still wont clear battery light.
ok guys this 1 is weired i wanan start by saying i absoloutley could not find a half decent plymouth or breeze foum so i had to try here..
ok its a 99 breeze 2.0 automatic 4 door
it started with the fuel pump like a month ago, replaced that, then a week ago her car "my wifes" breeze threw out the check engine light and batt light, her dad is a certified ase tech for aps schools, and usta work at a plymouth/dodge dealership, now he just fixes cars for the school system. he came over with a snap on code reader "odb 2 scantool?"
and said it said all fuses were blown and sumthing about invalid, missing, or error in the cam/crank. he said sumthing like its trying to turn them at different speeds.
so after dishing out alot for the fuel pump he got her a semi discount on the new ecu from the dealership because he usta work there n his buddies etc. etc.
came to 338$
her dad poped it in but apearantly the ecu still needed to be programed by the vin etc etc so once again he got a buddie from the dealership to bring this big a** scan tool with plymouth sings all over it, he pluged it in and programed it input the vin and sum other stuff and the check engine and batt light disapeared, and he was gone as fast as he came over, but her dad was satisfied, now it ran fine for like 2 minuts idling, he rolle dit ouyta the yard and the car sputted, and klunked 60 feet down the road and it threw up the batt light again but not the check engine this time.
now were all pi**** off and shes in the hole big time, now we wana fix it and sell it asap but what else is wrong any ideas? any input is so greatly apericated so so much.
we think the alternator is out but i put a voltage meter to it ran right where the target should be like 12- 12.5v depending on temp?
another thing is the car started acting up on the way home klunking lossign power runing crappy and wouldent start, so she called me i dissconected the neg cable for 5 minuts, reconected and told her to get home as fast as possible "half mile away" and she did then when she later started it in the driveway to show me what was wrong the batt and check engine light came back on, like she said it was when she first called and it was not running right!!!
